Description: There is no doubt about it that GameFly was the first major service provider for renting video games online.  Not only are they the proprietors, but they are also innovators.  They are always ahead of the curve (as I'm going to prove to you in this gamefly review) when it comes to having better next-gen console titles (for renting Xbox 360 games and Playstation 3 games).  They have over 6,000 titles which are growing on an constant basis.

Personal Thoughts:  In a nutshell, GameFly is the the best single solution for renting video games online at this point.  They were the first, and they continue to show their colors by constantly upgrading their services and bringing new games to the table usually before anyone else.

Each video game features a list of cheat codes, descriptions, instructions, and the works. Another REALLY cool feature for parents is a comprehensive parental control feature.  This is really neat because if you are a parent and you want your kid to be able to choose his own games, you can set your account so it only allows your child to rent the games you think are fit for your child.  It automatically blocks attempts at trying to add restricted video games to the mailing list.  Also, if you play a video game and you decide you really love it, you can buy it at an super discounted price and keep it for the rest of your life!

The only con that I can say in this gamefly review is that they have is they used to have only one shipping center on the west coast and that gave the folks (like me) on the east coast a bit of a waiting period for games.  But since then they have added another shipping center in Pennsylvania, it is the most convenient service out there, and no matter where you are in the US, you should get your games in about 2-3 days, and what's better is that they offer a free 10 day trial to see if you like it or not!

Update June 29th, 2009:  They have just added an amazing feature that gives "seniority" to people.  That means, the longer you are a member, the more of a discount you get on things such as games and you can rack up some very awesome Gamefly Bucks which can be traded in for more subscriptions or video games free of charge.

Update August 17, 2009: Good news for all those reading this gamefly review.  They've just added a feature that will let you receive message updates when your video games are shipped and when they arrive at your door.  You can also choose to rent games online through your cell phone if you can. Thanks again, gamefly!

Update November 14, 2009: Exclusive to this Gamefly Review, gamefly has just released an App for the Iphone and the iTouch that will allow you to update your list for online video game renals through your hand held device!
