Picking The Best Video Game Rental Service
If you were to ask me two years ago that renting games online would have
blown up like it has, I would have called you a fool. Well, the jokes on
me. Today, over millions of people rent video games online every single
day. Since it has blown up so much, and if you are considering jumping on
the band wagon, then you should know what to look for when picking out the best
video game rental service.
First of all, think about availability. Do you have an original
Nintendo system that you'd like to rent games for? Well, if you do your
first priority is to find a service that offers the original Nintendo
titles. The next thing in viability is of course stock. Do they
have the games in stock? Normally this is something you don't have to
worry about (especially if you're renting video games for an older system)
because at the very most you might have to wait a few days before it will come available,
but mostly the leading game rental services will have games in stock most of
the time. See if they have an automatic waiting-line system (most do)
that will automatically send you the game as it becomes available. The next thing you need to think of is price. Really consider your lifestyle for this one. Do you play games occasionally just to pass time? If that's the case then you should only sign up for a plan that allows one game out at a time, because you there really is no reason for you to have 3 titles out at a time. On the other hand if you are a hardcore gamer then it will be best for you to sign up for a plan that allows out three games at a time once (but the trade off there that its usually a few dollars more when bill time comes). The last thing you need to consider is the shipping times. Most places will have your video game sent to you in 4-5 business days. Sometimes it's quicker and it really just depends on A) where you live and B) where the closest shipping center is. Some companies have shipping centers in all corners of the US, some only have 2, and some only have 1. If you are an immediate gratification type of person then it's best to pick one with a shipping center close to your home. This isn't really a big deal to most people, but if you really care about that sort of thing it's important to consider. |
